The entire Inventory Tracker program is compressed into one self-extracting file called Inventory_Demo_2008.zip.
Installation
Unzip the file you just downloaded ('Inventory_Demo_2008.zip') into InventoryDemoSetup.exe. Now, open up Windows Explorer (right click Start button and choose 'explorer') and double-click this to start the installation program.
Here's What You'll See
The data that comes pre-loaded with Inventory Tracker is 'real life' data. Click on the Filing Cabinet icon. Here you'll see a complete list of all inventory. Notice the "SuperParents" dropdown list that groups items. Click on any column heading to re-sort the listing.
Click the 'Report' button to print out a "Soup to Nuts" report of any item that includes item, transactions, locations and transaction history.
Click on the "Show Pictures" checkbox to see photos and documents associated with this item.
If you wish to see how we print out Code39 barcodes, go to the 'Edit' menu and select 'Barcode Nouns'. Try printing these nouns out on your laser or inkjet printer by clicking the 'Report' button and see how clear and crisp they are. These will be used for data entry as well as shelf labels and name tags.
Remove Program
When you wish to remove the program go into your Control Panel. Click on 'Add/Remove Programs'. Find the Inventory Tracker program and click the 'Add/Remove' button.
