Installation
Unzip the file you just downloaded ('Evidence_Demo_2008.zip') into EvidenceDemoSetup.exe. Now, open up Windows Explorer (right click Start button and choose 'explorer') and double-click this to start the installation program.
Here's What You'll See
The data that comes pre-loaded with Evidence Tracker is 'real life' data. Click on the Filing Cabinet icon and you'll see a complete list of all evidence. Click on any column heading to re-sort the listing.
Click the 'Report' button to print out a "Soup to Nuts" report of any case that includes item and chain of custody transactions.
Click on the "Show Pictures" checkbox to see photos and documents associated with this item.
If you wish to see how we print out Code39 barcodes, go to the 'Edit' menu and select 'Barcode Nouns'. Try printing these nouns out on your laser or inkjet printer by clicking the 'Report' button and see how clear and crisp they are. These will be used for data entry as well as shelf labels and name tags.
Remove Program
When you wish to remove the program go into your Control Panel. Click on 'Add/Remove Programs'. Find the Evidence Tracker program and click the 'Add/Remove' button.
