First, data is entered more quickly and accurately with our portable barcode readers and PDA's. We challenge any vendor to enter cases and items into evidence faster and put them away! There is never a redundant entry and all input is automatically date/time stamped. Collecting information where and when it happens greatly improves believability.
Secondly, the system automatically prints custom disposal request letters to officers’, courts and owners. Our barcode evidence software monitors response times and if there is no reply a series of more severe letters can be sent. This constructive dialogue highlights what items can be disposed, returned to owner or retained for department use.
Thirdly, Evidence Tracker allows you to save photos of items that should be disposed such as shoplifting cases, alcohol and environmentally unsound materials. Pictures and documents can be scanned in using a variety of methods and hardware.
